Windows 7 enable Trim / AHCI

Enable Or Disable Trim Command in Windows 7

1.Click on Start,go to All Programs / Accessories ,right-click Command Prompt and click Run as administrator

2.To enable Trim command in windows 7 ,just type in the below command and press ENTER

fsutil behavior set disabledeletenotify 0

2.To disable Trim command in windows 7 ,just type in the below command and press ENTER

fsutil behavior set disabledeletenotify 1

3.To check the status of Trim,type the below command and press ENTER.

(1 mean TRIM is disabled, 0 mean TRIM is enabled)

fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify


Enable AHCI in Windows 7

1.Click Start,type regedit in the search box then press ENTER

2.In the Registry Editor windows,browser to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-System-CurrentControlSet-Services-Msahci

3.In the right pane of Msahci , double-click Start and change it’s value to 0 (Number zero)

4.Exit registry editor and reboot and  go to BIOS to enable AHCI,then just follow the instructions to install AHCI driver.
