Switch your display to Duplicate Projector or Monitors by Default when Windows 7 startup

In Windows 7 you can switch your display to projector or monitor   with one of the below 4 ways:

  • Computer only (This shows your desktop only on your computer screen.)
  • Duplicate (This shows your desktop on both your computer screen and a projector.)
  • Extend (This extends your desktop from your computer screen to a projector.)
  • Projector only (This shows your desktop only on a projector.)

And “Computer only” is the default one,and you can use one of the following 2 ways to other display method by default after Windows 7 startup.

Method One:

      1.Open Registry Editor (Start — type “regedit” –then “Enter”)

      2.Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

      3.In the right panel,right click and select “New — String Value” ,then  rename this string(eg:Autoswitch).

      4.Double click this entry and set the value data to “C:\Windows\System32\DisplaySwitch.exe /clone

        5.Done.After you restart your laptop,the above command will be excuted

Method Two:

        Put “C:\Windows\System32\DisplaySwitch.exe /clone” into a txt file,eg:auotswitch.txt ,then rename autoswitch.txt to autoswitch.bat,then right select(right click and do not release the mouse) this file and drag it under Start –All Programs–Startup

    Pressing the spacebar performs direct Disolayswitch.exe. How do I put it back, I never created a shortcut.
